What belongs on this page

Forwarders in Hong Kong normally publish standard trading conditions covering the points below. The usual approach is to adopt the Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics (HAFFA) standard trading conditions, or an equivalent set reviewed by your own advisers, rather than writing them from scratch.

• Lien and general average — rights over cargo for unpaid charges.
• Customer warranties — accuracy of cargo descriptions, weights, values, and compliance with export and import controls.
• Governing law and jurisdiction — Hong Kong law and the courts or arbitration forum that will hear disputes.
